This year, our charity CEO- Jodi, Tracy (a Caring Matters Now Trustee) and Michelle (our North West Regional Contact) attended the RCGP in Liverpool.
Our newly launched conference cards were very popular, offering an easy way for busy medical professionals to register to receive our annual medical updates. Throughout the conference, the team met several GPs who had previously referred patients to Professor Kinsler at Great Ormond Street. We heard the story of one GP who was already receiving medical updates from us and another GP who had a patient with CMN and was delighted to hear of the work that we do!
Our reach went beyond the conference stand as our support literature was kindly displayed by the Herpes Viruses Association (HVA) who commits to displaying resources from different Patient Support Groups each year.
Tracy said, “I absolutely loved doing it! As the day went on, I found my groove on how to hook people in… having photos of Rey on the School Guide really helped as I could say “this is my little girl” and they were instantly engaged!”
