As this was our 2nd Coffee and Cake event, we were slightly more organized! We gathered a small team of family and friends to help out on the day with tombola, raffle, puppet show and bouncy castle, as well as a fun disco and face painting donated by Starz Party.
We used our local church, St John’s, Hebburn, as our venue again and since the sun was shining we were able to utilize the space outside with plenty of fun activities on the grass for the children. Add to that some delicious cakes and pies and you couldn’t help but enjoy the day. 🙂
In the months building up to the event, we wrote to local companies explaining why we were holding the event and they generously donated some fantastic prizes for our raffle including an ipad mini, tablet and various store vouchers. To increase sales, we started selling our raffle tickets a few weeks earlier to friends and colleagues who were unable to attend on the day.
Isabelle and her friends from AAA Sport, Sunderland, also took part in a sponsored fancy dress trampoline event to raise extra funds. In total we raised an amazing £2,298.80.
