Huge thanks to Metro Safety for their generous donation and in raising awareness of CMN:

Metro Safety’s 25th anniversary charity initiative raises £3,400 for Caring Matters Now

In celebration of Metro Safety’s 25th anniversary year the company set themselves the challenge of raising £20,000, to be split between four worthwhile charities:

  • Caring Matters Now
  • MacMillan Cancer Support
  • The Children’s Burns Trust
  • Mesothelioma UK

During the course of the year they undertook a number of fundraising initiatives, raising a total of £20,058 for their four chosen charities of which £3,400 was donated to CMN.

The main fundraising event was the Metro Safety ‘6 in 6’ bike ride. This was no mean challenge! Ten brave riders cycled through 6 European countries in 6 days, starting in Saarbrucken in Germany and finishing in Trafalgar Square, clocking up 500 miles along the way.

Next was the Metro Safety Rowathon. In order to complete the ‘missing’ 25 mile leg of the ‘6 in 6’ bike ride – Calais to Dover – various Metro Safety staff used rowing machines to cover the distance the cyclists travelled by ferry.

Finally, a 25th Anniversary Gala Evening was held which raised additional funds for the nominated charities.

Metro Safety would like to thank their staff, sponsor partners, customers and friends for their generous donations, efforts and support, making it possible to achieve their fundraising target and help CMN and their other nominated charities continue their good work.

A great example of CMN Corporate Partnership.

Ian’s daughter has CMN and it was his introduction of Caring Matters Now to Metro Safety that lead to this wonderful partnership and support for our charity.
