I do hope that during this difficult time you and your family are taking care and keeping well.
Like other charities, our Trustees and members of staff, have had to make big adjustments over the last couple of weeks, yet with the aim of continuing to be there for you during these uncertain times. We endeavour to keep things as normal as possible but please bear with us if we do fall short very occasionally. Over the next few weeks, please contact the charity by emailing email@example.com or by phone; 07731 023153.
Sadly, we had to cancel the CMN conference due to take place in June and have now put all other meetings and regional gatherings planned for 2020 on hold. Please be assured that when things improve, as they will, charity staff will be ready to start again but, of course, we have no idea yet when that will be.
A sizeable amount of our annual income comes from our very much appreciated fundraisers, either organising events with family and friends or taking part in sponsored runs, cycling events and challenges. While we hope events planned for later on in the year will happen and everyone will still be able to take part, these few months without fundraising will materially affect us and we will be forced to access our limited reserves that we were hoping to spend on our charitable aims.
It’s going to be a tough year for many and therefore I am particularly thankful that, over the years the Board of Trustees have kept a close check on our finances and fortunately we can continue the charity’s key operations for the time being. However, we are a small charity with no regular or statutory income and rely on the generosity of our members and supporters. If you can, please continue to give a regular, or one-off donation.
We realise that it may be difficult to send cheques at the moment so if you have money to pay in it may be easier to go to our website and use the Donate button, telling us why you are making the payment, or, if you usually bank online, you can pay direct into our main account with the following details:
Account Name: Caring Matters Now
Sort Code: 089299
Account No: 65829899
Don’t forget a reference so that we can identify your payment, or if prefer you can inform us by emailing Lisa Sly: firstname.lastname@example.org.
I send very best wishes from all at Caring Matters Now and hope it won’t be too long before we can get back to raising funds to enable us to continue what we have been doing successfully for the last 23 years – supporting families of those affected by Congenital Melanocytic Naevus.
With best wishes
