Our annual conference took place on Friday 7th May – Sunday 9th May. During the 3-day conference we hosted 16 online events via zoom, catering for 598 members. Every family and individual who registered to attend the conference received a welcome pack in the post, which include event goodies for the specific events they were attending, such as a CMN Ronnie the Bear, research experiment equipment, a circus kit, CMN mug accompanied by a teabag and chocolate bar, quiz sheets, escape rooms bandanas books and craft kits.
We were thrilled to have Charlotte Hawkins and Jimmy Bullard host two events for us. Their support made the conference extra special for all our members.
We have received wonderfully encouraging feedback from our members. Here are some of the comments from parents of children with CMN:
“A big thanks from all of us for a really good mix of events over the weekend. You’ve all done really well under the extremely difficult circumstances of having to meet remotely.”
“A great big thanks to all you and the whole team at caring matters now for what you do, your support and the conference which was so brilliantly organised. We are so very thankful to have found you and be a part of the ‘family’, I can’t explain how much it has helped us.”
“What a fantastic inspirational conference that catered so well for members of all ages. Thank you all so much for all you do. We really appreciate it and we all had a fantastic time.”
We also received lovely feedback from the children who joined us for their events:
Following the conference, we received a personal story from a mum of a young boy with CMN. The story highlights the positive impact the conference had on her son’s self-esteem and confidence. You can read the personal story here.
