| From Labs to Lives | Wednesday 25th February 2026 8pm | The journey of developing more effective treatments for CMN in the UK. We will be discussing the process of turning a potential new treatment for CMN, from a discovery in the lab to something that’s available to patients here in the UK. The knowledge gained for this presentation is through consultation with other patient support groups who have already walked the journey of developing a potential treatment and the pitfalls they have experienced, which we can learn from. We’ll talk about how to manage expectations along the way because hope needs to be paired with realism. |
| Transitioning to Adulthood * | Sunday 22nd March 2026 8pm | We will be showcasing our new Self Advocacy Pack, as well as hearing from lived experiences and finding out more about how to engage with charity life. * This workshop is open to members with CMN between the ages of 16 and 24 and/or their parents. |
| Adult Connect * | Sunday 24th May 2026 8pm | We will be showcasing our new Adult Support Guide and Adult Toolkit, as well as hearing from lived experiences and finding out more about how to engage with charity life. * This workshop is open to members with CMN over the age of 18+, this Workshop is not open to parents of members. |
| School and CMN | Sunday 26th July 2026 8pm | We will be exploring our Age Specific Support, Schools Guide and Be Seen Quality Mark as useful tools to engage with your community and educate those around you about CMN in both Primary and Secondary School! We will also be hearing from lived experiences and finding out more about how to engage with charity life. |
| Transition to Secondary School | Sunday 29th November 2026 8pm | This Workshop is aimed at parents of children in Year 5 and 6. We will explore Age Specific Support, our Schools Guide, consider what qualities you might look for in your next school and what will be important to communicate to your next school. We will also discuss our newly launched Be Seen Quality Mark as a useful tool to engage with your community and educate those around you about CMN in Secondary School! We will also be hearing from lived experiences and finding out more about how to engage with charity life. |
| Online Teens Resource Walkthrough Living with CMN (all ages) | Sunday 31st January 2027 8pm Sunday 21st March 2027 8pm | We will be exploring this resource which was created in partnership with the Centre for Appearance Research (CAR) Bristol (UWE) in 2021. The Online Teens Resource aims to provide self-help support for young people aged 12-17 with Congenital Melanocytic Naevi (CMN). The resource offers self-help techniques which are designed to improve confidence, self-esteem, tackle anxious feelings and equip young people with the skills they need to feel comfortable in their own skin. We will be discussing the following topics: coping with comments and stares, relationships, educating medical professionals and seeking referrals to specialised CMN clinics, as well as hearing from lived experiences, exploring available resources, and finding out more about how to engage with charity life. |
