Adult Connect

As we continue to develop our 18+ pathway, we are excited to launch Adult Connect. This new forum will create more opportunities for adults to come together and explore the topics that matter most to them in their CMN experience.

Through Adult Connect, we will share knowledge, welcome guest speakers, learn from one another’s experiences, highlight available support resources, and provide opportunities to get involved in wider charity events and campaigns.

Our online workshops will take place every two months on Friday evenings, offering a supportive space to connect, learn, and engage with the CMN community.

Friday 20th November 2026, 7.30pmAfter Big Weekend, join the Adult Connect Team for an opportunity to catch up on the latest research updates, learn about upcoming events and opportunities, and take part in an informal FAQ-style conversation. This session will provide a space to ask questions, share thoughts and feedback, and stay connected with what is happening across the CMN community.
Friday 15th January 2027, 7.30pmJoin us for a special guest feature with Dahlia, who will introduce Didi, The Wolf and The Starry Tattoos for adults. This interactive session will explore the themes, inspiration, and key messages behind the book; while also offering a behind-the-scenes look at the writing and illustration process that brought the story to life. As a children’s story that has resonated deeply with many of our adult members, this session will create space for discussion, reflection, and shared learning. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from Dahlia, ask questions, share perspectives, and connect with others through meaningful conversation and shared experiences.
Friday 12th March 2027, 7.30pmJoin us for a spotlight session on campaigns such as Bare Your Birthmark, with special guest Helen sharing her experiences and insights. This session will explore the impact of awareness and advocacy campaigns, the importance of amplifying the voices of those with visible differences, and the role these initiatives play in driving understanding and change. Helen will offer a personal perspective on the Bare Your Birthmark campaign, discussing its journey, achievements, and ongoing impact. There will also be opportunities for attendees to ask questions, share their own experiences, and take inspiration from the power of storytelling, community, and collective action.
