My name is Jamie, I am 15 years old, live in Croydon and am in year 10.

I have a large CMN on my back and I have had 2 operations to remove CMN on my face. I have had a lot of experience Caring Matters Now, all positive, and I’m going to do the O2 climb later this year.

Most of the time I forget that I have any CMN. When I went from year 6 to year 7, my CMN wasn’t something that I was worried about or had on my mind. My primary was a small school with only 1 class per year and my secondary has 12 classes per year. Mostly people didn’t really take notice of my CMN but when they did, such as changing for PE, I explained and they understood quickly.

My advice to anyone going to secondary school for the first time would be to not worry about what people think about your CMN because they normally look past it. Remember, your CMN doesn’t change how people see you.
