In October 2022 Caring Matters Now celebrated its 25th year with a fantastic evening in London, hosting a Silver Anniversary Ball. The event, held at The Brewery, had 300 people in attendance, including many VIPs, Celebrities, Corporates and CMN Members.

The night was filled with delicious food and celebrity entertainment with the ultimate aim of raising essential funds to help Caring Matters Now to keep doing what we do for another 25 years. We are so pleased to announce that the fundraising on the night, from our attendees generous donations, and bids in both our live and silent auction, raised a phenomenal £138,265.00. We are so grateful to everyone who attended and all who have supported us over the past 25 years.

Below you can read a write up from one of our attendees; Rachel, about how much she enjoyed attending the ball. Following that you can view all of the photos which were taken on the night.

“On 15th October, my husband and I attended the Caring Matters Now (CMN) Silver Anniversary Ball with friends and family. This event celebrated the charity’s 25th birthday and was held at the historic, Grade II listed events venue, The Brewery in London.
Upon arrival, we enjoyed a drinks reception to the fabulous sound of Leah Sax which really set the tempo for the night ahead! While we sipped prosecco, we mingled with other attendees and sampled an impressive line-up of cheeses provided by the cheese merchant Thomas Badcock. There was nothing about cheese that this man did not know! When we were called to dinner, each guest received a gift which was either the ‘How Do You C Me Now?’ photographic book or ‘When Harry Met Sandra’ autobiography – the perfect coffee table read!
Before we ate, we heard from Jodi Whitehouse and Ruth Gold who shared their experiences of living with CMN. Ruth’s story really resonated with me and how challenging those early days were for my sister, Hannah Cree and her family. We were also entertained by Scarlett Clarke, a young person who has CMN, who performed an emotive dance routine to the spoken word poem by Shane Koyczan, ‘To this day’. Again, powerfully resonating with some of the experiences my nephew, Elijah Cree has had at school.
In what was a star-studded event, we were lucky enough to be seated on an ambassador table sponsored by 3EN, with special table host, World Champion powerlifter and founder of ‘Tough Talk’, Arthur White. As an avid LBC radio listener my husband also enjoyed meeting and speaking with Nick Ferrari! In addition, Naga Munchetty interviewed Mike Tindall and Harry Redknapp on stage, who gave us all a good laugh; and we sang and danced with performers from the London West End musical, Mamma Mia!
The evening climaxed with an extremely fun and exciting auction, led by Roger Daikin, who did an excellent job, charming the crowd and raising bids to make the most of the fundraising event. Although we didn’t win the signed cap and notepad from Rory Mcilroy, we were over the moon for our friends who won a seven-night stay at a four star hotel in Portugal, including flights!
We would highly recommend future CMN celebratory balls to anyone who enjoys a great night out for a good cause! You can be kept in the know by registering as a friend or supporter of the charity via their website or following their social media page! Go on, we know you want to!” – Rachel
