Last year I had the opportunity to attend the BAD conference in Glasgow along with my mum. This was a great opportunity to meet and discuss CMN with dermatology specialist working in our hospitals all over the country. Throughout my day at the conference not only was I able to share my own personal journey with CMN but also share information about the condition with dermatologist, as for a lot of them they had never worked with a patient who had CMN, nor did they have much knowledge of it. The ‘How do you see me know’ portraits displayed across the venue are what attracted a lot of attention to our stand and were something which everyone commented on positively. This was an invaluable opportunity to spread awareness of Caring Matters Now amongst industry specialists so that they could highlight the great work and support the charity could offer to any future patients of theirs.
Overall, it was a really great experience to highlight CMN and the great work which Caring Matters Now have carried out to support all those affected by the condition.
