Yesterday we travelled by vehicle up to the highest road pass in the world at Khardoungla. There is a dispute with the height of everything here but it’s roughly around 5380 metres above sea level so really good for the acclimatisation.
In the afternoon we got last minute provisions before meeting our guides for the trek Santosh and Badal two awesome Nepalese climbers now based in Ladakh in India. Santosh the older of the two has summited Stok Kangri 109 times so we are in safe hands.
In the evening we were briefed by Joe our team leader and Hannah the Doc before sorting our final packing out.
We are now just waiting for the transport to take us to the start point.
Summit in 8 days so wish us luck.
