Family Fun Day

CMN is obviously a very special charity to me and I got together with my friend, Sam who also is a keen fundraiser for The UK Sepsis Trust and CLAPA charities (These two charities mean a lot to her as she nearly lost her life to Sepsis and her eldest daughter was born with a cleft lip and palate) and decided to hold a family fun day at the local Rugby Club to raise money for all three charities. It was a huge task and lots of hard work and effort went in to making the day as successful and fun as possible. We had Fairground rides, Fire Engine, Disney’s Olaf and Doc McStuffin mascots as well as a Minion, Balloons, face Painting, Bouncy castles, BBQ and Bar, Stalls and a local fitness club performed Zumba for the afternoon. Fabulous prizes were donated to our raffle including Disney On Ice tickets, Ice skating vouchers, Play Centre vouchers, Shop vouchers and many more, even 50% off a holiday to Cornwall could be won by purchasing a ‘Lucky Envelope’. The day was a huge success and we raised a total of £1600 to split between our charities. In total, £541.33 was raised for Caring Matters Now as we also had our own JustGiving pages running up to the event for people who couldn’t make it but wanted to donate.” (Amy – CMN mum)

Thank you to Amy for organising such a great event and raising CMN awareness and funds!
