Family Activity Weekend – July 2011

What a success; the weekend at Boreatton Park was fantastic and fun was had by all that attended.

A huge thank you goes to Jeans for Genes who kindly supported the first ever CMN Activity Weekend and funded each child with CMN and an accompanying adult.

It really was a superb weekend with activities including the giant swing, raft building, archery, trapeze, swimming to name just a few. The confidence of the children was heart warming to watch and to also see so many families enjoying pure quality family time together without any anxieties was wonderful.

There were activities for all age groups including the little ones who enjoyed a bear hunt, painting, making Indian head-dresses, ball games and swimming.

Our team leaders Kate and Caroline were amazing, so enthusiastic and full of energy (although I do think the little ones wore them out and they were happy we had not booked for a weeks stay!!!!).

Lots of wonderful memories and lifelong friendships formed.

He is only 4 and already knows that he looks different and I believe that the time bonding with the other children has really allowed him to feel like just a boy.”

“Thank you so much everyone for a brilliant weekend!! It was great to meet some people that are my age and going through the same thing. Hope that there will be another similar weekend in the future!”
