We would firstly like to say a massive thank you to everyone that registered their interest in running the 2016 London Marathon for Caring Matters Now. It is so good to know what some people really are prepared to put themselves through for our charity, thank you.

As we mentioned we are only allocated one place every five years! So this is a unique opportunity for us.

We placed all the names in the hat (bucket) on Saturday 31st October and the lucky winner (although I’m not really sure how lucky, given the training and fundraising that this person now has to do!) was selected and that was Nathan Bevan.

Nathan is an adult with CMN and is committed to helping raise awareness and funds for Caring Matters Now.

This was Nathans response when told his name had been picked out of the hat:

“ Hi Lucy and O my god!

I could never have believed in my wildest dreams that I would have the opportunity to run such a famous marathon after everything I’ve been thru in the last few years.
I’ve just landed a healthy position in a new job, I’m getting married in January  and now this.
Thank you so much and I will represent us with pride.

I’m over the moon. X ”

And so are we Nathan. Read Nathan’s personal story, its an inspiring read.

Keep up to date with Nathan and his training on our Facebook page and his Just Giving page.
